Participant Guidelines
Please note that the following guidelines have been created to meet Beckman Coulter Risk Management and Tax Assessment requirements:

The Inner Circle program is not a family event and is, therefore, limited to the specific Beckman Coulter winner and one guest over 21 years of age. Children are not permitted to attend. Additional guests and / or family members are also not permitted to be on property for this BEC business meeting event. The Inner Circle Rules also specify that winners are not permitted to invite a customer, business associate, or another Beckman Coulter employee as a guest unless that individual is their spouse. Any BEC associate who is eligible for Inner Circle but fails to qualify may not attend as a guest. If a guest is employed by a company that is a direct competitor of BEC, they are not permitted to attend. Only the invited Winner is eligible to participate in the award event and he/she must attend in order to invite a guest. The program is limited to two individuals per room. If a winner's guest requires separate accommodations, Beckman Coulter will not be responsible for the additional expense. For any other Inner Circle award terms and conditions, please refer to the published Qualification Rules.
Airline Reservation and ticketing
Inner Circle winners and their guests may fly premium economy regardless of the length of travel. If your local travel agency needs authorization for this, please reach out to the Beckman Coulter team at BECDxInnerCircle@beckman.com. All flights should be secured to arrive at and depart from Kahului Airport (OGG) which is located approximately 50 minutes from The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua.

Program Rules state that winners and their guests may not arrive at the selected destination prior to the program's official arrival date. Should a winner decide to arrive in Maui or any other Hawaiian island prior to the program or prolong his / her stay after the program date, the winner will be fully responsible for all personal expenses incurred. BEC will take no responsibility for making any arrangements outside of the official program dates, or bear any cost related to such extension arrangements.

Passport and Visa Requirements
All international visitors, regardless of country of origin, must present a valid passport or secure document when entering the United States, including Hawaii. Travel.State.gov is an excellent resource for in-depth information on types of visitor visas. For more specific information on entering U.S. borders, please review the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's website.
Visa Waiver Program
The Visa Waiver Program enables nationals of 38 participating countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business (visitor [B] visa purposes only) for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa. Visa Waiver Program Countries: https://www.dhs.gov/visa-waiver-program-requirements

All travelers entering under this program are required to have a valid authorization through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) prior to travel.

Per BEC Travel Guidelines, if you require a new passport or your passport needs to be renewed in order to attend this company event, please expense the associated fees. Costs associated with obtaining a passport for your invited guest, however, are considered a personal expense.
Covid Testing Requirements
Beginning Saturday, March 26, 2022, individuals arriving from the continental United States will not be required to create a Safe Travels account, show their COVID-19 vaccination status, or take a pre-travel test when traveling to the Hawaiian Islands.

Passengers arriving to Hawaii on direct international flights must still adhere to federal U.S. entry requirements, which include showing proof of an up-to-date vaccination document and negative pre-travel COVID-19 test result taken within one day of travel. Travel Expenses
All travel expenses for you and your guest, including airline tickets, checked baggage fees, travel to and from your home airport, airport parking and travel meals, which meet BEC Travel Guidelines may be expensed as per the Danaher travel policy. Winners do not need to take vacation time to attend this Inner Circle meeting.
Attire
For daytime activities, cool and casual attire is suggested along with comfortable walking shoes. For the awards dinner, formal/cocktail attire is requested. For other evening events, smart casual attire is requested. Smart casual dress is a step up from business casual, but not as dressy as formal work attire. We suggest pants and collared shirts for men, and dresses, skirts/pants, and blouses for ladies.
